Dear Valley of the Sun United Way Retire United Members,
We hope this message finds you and your loved ones well and feeling more hopeful after an incredibly challenging year for all of us.
Recently, Valley of the Sun United Way celebrated 95 years of service to our community and launched a new 5-year impact agenda called MC2026 (attached for your review). THANK YOU for being part of United Way’s 95-year history and our path forward! The link to the recording of the 95th Anniversary Celebration can be found HERE. Please do take a moment to watch and share all Valley of the Sun United Way has accomplished over the past decades.
As we reengage Retire United, we hope you’ll join us (virtually) on Thursday, May 27 at 10:00 a.m. for a special session so that we may ensure you have firsthand information about Valley of the Sun United Way’s organizational priorities and to include you as we plan for the future. Your insights, questions and suggestions throughout this interactive meeting will be instrumental in bringing us ALL together for a shared cause, for Mighty Change. The Retire United Steering Committee has been hard at work collaborating to align efforts in support of MC2026 and will be sending a survey in June to assess how you would like to engage with United Way through Retire United. We will use your feedback to adjust our focus for the coming years. The Retire United Vello team has just completed its fourth year of one-on-one online tutoring that helps ensure kids are reading by 4th grade. This is just one way to get involved!
