Ranked Choice Voting Training Session

Voting in New York City will look different this year. On Wednesday, May 26th, at 6pm, the New York City Campaign Finance Board will host a virtual 30-minute training to explain Ranked Choice Voting, how to use it, and why the city adopted it. After the presentation, attendees will be able to ask questions from presenters on the topic.

The June 22nd Primaries will be the first time New York City voters will use the new Ranked Choice Voting system citywide. The system allows voters to rank up to five candidates on the ballot in their order of preference instead of choosing only one, so even if your first choice doesn’t win, you still have a say in who does.
