Join Precious Life outside Belfast High Court
Wednesday & Thursday
26th & 27th May
9.45am - 12noon
Dear John
Please join Precious Life as we hold a protest outside Belfast High Court tomorrow - Wednesday 26 May - and Thursday 27 May - at 9.45am - in response to a judicial review of abortion by the so-called Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (NIHRC). It is vital that we be a voice for the unborn child, and expose the hypocrisy of the Commission that seeks to deny the human rights of babies in the womb.
The NIHRC has lodged judicial review proceedings in the High Court against the Stormont Executive and Department of Health for “...failing to commission and fund abortion.” NIHRC Chief Les Allamby said the Commission was “deeply concerned” at the LACK of abortions in Northern Ireland.
As you know, abortion was forced on Northern Ireland by the Westminster Parliament in October 2019 through Section 9 of the NI (Executive Formation etc) Act. Their new abortion regulations came into force on 31 March 2020. Official figures released in February revealed that 1345 babies were killed by abortion since March 2020
The so-called' Human Rights' Commission is taking legal action over what they describe as a ‘delay’ in killing more babies across the whole of Northern Ireland. The Commission aren't deeply concerned about the 1345 little humans that were denied their right to life. Through this court case, they want to force the Stormont Assembly to facilitate the killing of even more unborn babies – even right up to the moment of birth.
The hypocrisy of the Human Rights Commission must be exposed. Their legal action is a direct threat to the most basic and fundamental human right of all - the right to life. Without it, all other rights are meaningless.
Every person in Northern Ireland - born and unborn - must have the right to life. The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child states '...every child has the inherent right to life...the child...needs special safeguards and care, including appropriate legal protection, BEFORE as well as after BIRTH.'
Precious Life will continue exposing the hypocritical pro-abortion agenda of the so-called Human Rights Commission. We will continue campaigning to REPEAL SECTION 9 and restore full legal protection and human rights for our unborn babies. Please join us at the High Court and be a voice for the unborn child.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Yours, for the little ones
Bernadette Smyth
Director
PS. If you can't join us physically, please unite with us in prayer on Wednesday and Thursday - any time between 9.45am and 12 noon.
