Hi John,

This year we had a number of fun opportunities to dive into the user experience of Action Network, from working with the AFL-CIO and all our development partners to identify potential upgrades for key workflows to a full review of every button on every page. As our toolset continues to grow (hello mobile!) we’re committed to investing in existing functionality — and I think that shows in this deploy!

A big upgrade for our letter campaign tool

We’ve made letter campaigns easier to set up for you, and much more intuitive for activists taking action. For this deploy we have:

  • Highlighted the most important step (writing the letter) by moving it to full width instead of a sidebar.

  • Added title to the letter deliveries automatically (Senator, Representative, etc.) so you don’t need to worry about it.

Note that we are versioning these updates to ensure that you have time to test them. More on that process here.

Other updates worth noting:

  • Shared short codes are now supported for groups with shared branding.

  • The Thank You page for all actions has always been bright green — it’s now transparent in new widget versions! It’s a new day!

  • You can now create custom fields as a part of the ladder workflow (huge upgrade for anyone setting up mobile ladders).

  • We’ve enabled API queueing for blind posts to better handle high traffic moments.

New integrations

  • New integration with ThruText via BlueLink! Check it out here.

We hope you enjoy these new updates! Have a question or comment? Feel free to reply to this email, and I’ll get right back to you. As always, you can review our release notes here.

Take care,
