STRIKE! The Game of Worker Rebellion is a game by, for, and about the labor movement.

We’re thrilled to share that next week we will be launching our Kickstarter campaign for STRIKE! The Game of Worker Rebellion. This is our boldest game yet, and it is a game about fighting for working people and building a strong labor movement. Here’s an overview of the game:

HappyCorp, the richest company in the world, has just unleashed its most diabolical plan yet: turning your city into an entirely corporate-run metropolis.
From the schools to the sidewalks, everything will be owned and run by HappyCorp, and every resident will become a HappyCorp employee.
Players take on the role of the Strike Council to lead a city-wide rebellion against HappyCorp’s takeover, while also fighting for better livelihoods for all. Players will grow their ranks, mobilize their workers, and lead strikes around Mercury City. As the Strike Council scores victories for workers, they will gain the support of more allies, from the steelworkers to the teachers, and build new bases of support from the manufacturing district to the university.
So do you have what it takes to lead the worker rebellion to defeat HappyCorp? Or will you soon be a smiling employee of HappyCity?

We teamed up with the renowned labor rights organization Jobs with Justice to create and launch this game. We're so happy with how it turned out, and we can't wait to share it with you.

Our campaign for STRIKE! The Game of Worker Rebellion launches on Wednesday, October 16th. We hope to see you there, and that you'll consider supporting the campaign on day one. With Kickstarter, no matter when you pledge, you don't get charged until the last day of our campaign. But supporting a campaign early is a huge help in giving us momentum!

We Support the Workers of Kickstarter - And We Want You to Do So Too!

Recently, the workers of Kickstarter started organizing a union - and they have faced resistance from Kickstarter’s management. We absolutely stand with the workers of Kickstarter. You can read our full statement of support here.

The workers of Kickstarter have asked people to continue launching campaigns and supporting campaigns on the platform while showing their support for the workers and their unionization drive. As always, we will follow the lead of people building movements.

So that’s exactly what we’re we’re going to do: We’re not just going to make this a Kickstarter campaign; we’re going to make this a labor campaign too. We are going to use this campaign as a way to lift up the voices of the Kickstarter workers. When we launch the Kickstarter campaign, we will launch it with a number of ways you can support the Kickstarter workers as well.

In addition, we’ve teamed up with Jobs with Justice to make it so funds from this game go to benefit real campaigns fighting for working people. When the campaign launches mid-next week, we hope you'll share the game with your friends to help us raise funds for JWJ's work!

In solidarity,
