John --

While Trump and his far-right allies tweet their grievances about “do nothing” Democrats, Republican Senate Leader Mitch McConnell is literally sitting on DOZENS of good bills that have passed in the House. Many of these bills are bipartisan, and at least 10 are aimed at reducing the cost of healthcare.

One piece of legislation I support that remains stuck in McConnell’s legislative graveyard is the Strengthening Health Care and Lowering Prescription Drug Costs Act.

Can you sign my petition calling on McConnell to take up our bipartisan legislation to lower the cost of prescription drugs as soon as possible?

When I ran for Congress, I heard from countless families about the outrageous cost of prescription drug prices. It’s unacceptable that people have to choose between filling their prescriptions and putting food on the table.

Part of the problem is Big Pharma’s shady “pay-for-delay” practice. That’s when brand name drug companies pay-off generic manufacturers in order to delay bringing their medicines to the market. They do this so they can continue charging ridiculous amounts for their medications. It’s reprehensible and it needs to end.

In addition to making “pay-for-delay” illegal, this bill blocks the sale of junk insurance plans that don’t cover essential benefits like prescriptions for life-saving medications.

Lives are stake, and we cannot let our efforts to bring down drug prices fall by the wayside simply because Mitch McConnell is supported by Big Pharma.

Sign my petition: Tell Mitch McConnell that the Senate needs to take up our bipartisan legislation to lower the cost of prescription drugs as soon as possible.

Thanks for your support,

Mike
