The AZ election audit has helped spark another unnecessary audit in Georgia

Friend, across the country, Republicans have been working relentlessly to sow doubts about the integrity of last November’s presidential election. Through the promotion of baseless conspiracy theories, the AZ GOP has been able to jam through legislation like the PEVL Purge bill and waste taxpayer dollars on yet another audit.
Now the same thing is happening in Georgia. On Friday, a Georgia state judge ruled that Fulton County must allow a third party to inspect all 147,000 ballots for counterfeit balloting. This latest audit will come after three separate audits, including a hand recount last year, found no evidence of widespread fraud.
Trump’s legacy of lies has left a stain on our democracy, and rather than moving forward, Republicans seem set on exacting his revenge. The embrace of Trump-style authoritarianism and the commitment to undermine the will of the people is unacceptable, and we cannot stand for it.
