** Tynedale Jobs Fair 2019
------------------------------------------------------------
On Friday October 18th I'm looking forward to hosting my annual Tynedale Jobs Fair. Whether you're looking for work, a change of job, or getting back into work, there's something for everyone.

More than 60 employers are attending including EGGER, Essity, Waitrose, Tesco and the British Army.

This year's Jobs Fair is kindly sponsored by EGGER. Now in its sixth year, my annual Tynedale Jobs Fair helps to get local people into jobs and training, and since 2010, unemployment across our local area has been halved.

** The Great Northumberland Forest
------------------------------------------------------------
I'm delighted that the Conservative Government has agreed to planting a 'Great Northumberland Forest'. One million trees will be planted across Northumberland. Not only will this provide a huge source of timber to support our local industry for decades to come, it will help save the planet and tackle the climate emergency.

** Let's make sure we get our fair share of new police officers!
------------------------------------------------------------
I'm delighted the new Conservative government has started recruiting an additional 20,000 police officers. That will mean more police on our streets in Tynedale and Ponteland!

However it is vital that every part of the Northumbria Police Force area gets its fair share of new officers allocated the Labour Police and Crime Commissioner. That's why I am campaigning to ensure these new police officers don't only end up in urban areas like Newcastle and Sunderland - we need to see more police on our streets in Northumberland.

I want to know your views. Let me know whether you agree with my campaign to make sure Tynedale and Ponteland gets its fair share of Police Officers.
