Submit Your Storm Heaven Intentions Today!

Did you know this May 24th, there are TWO Marian feast days this year? One is for Mary, Help of Christians, which was initiated by Pope Pius V, who instituted the feast in 1573, in Thanksgiving for the victory of Christianity over Islamism. St. John Bosco was very devoted to the Blessed Mother under this title and is buried in the Basilica of Mary, Help of Christians in Turin, Italy.  

The second Marian feast, which falls this year on May 24th was initiated by Pope Francis three years ago and is a Memorial to be celebrated the day after Pentecost Sunday – The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church.  In 2018, Cardinal Robert Sarah stated that the Holy Father wishes to promote this devotion in order to “encourage the growth of the maternal sense of the Church in the pastors, religious and faithful, as well as a growth of genuine Marian piety”.

Keeping in mind that the Blessed Virgin Mary is the Mother of the Church, a title given to her by St. Paul VI, let’s prepare our intentions June 1st Operation Storm Heaven Holy Mass that will be said by His Eminence, Cardinal Burke, followed by the Holy Rosary, led by Cardinal Burke, that will be broadcast LIVE, from his private chapel in Rome.

In preparing our intentions to be submitted this month, let us look, not only into our needs and those of our loved ones, but keep in mind our fellow Rosary Warriors, and those of the whole world.  Remember, if we ask our intentions through the Blessed Virgin Mary, God will not refuse her. 

As part of Operation Storm Heaven, remember that your intentions are added each month to the Holy Mass celebrated by His Eminence, Raymond Cardinal Burke and to the Holy Rosary prayed by him and all the Rosary Warriors throughout the world on the 1st of June. As a Rosary Warrior, I would like to invite you to present your new or updated intentions and prayer requests for Operation Storm Heaven right before the 1st of June.

Let us contemplate what prayer intentions you may want to submit.  Here is a suggested checklist:

(1) Under the title, Mary, Help of Christians, there is a special intervention of Mary in the most difficult trials of personal human life. Are you, a family member, a loved one, or anyone on your prayer list experiencing a hardship – financial, medical, or a loss?  Is there any troubling aspect in your life that you want to be freed of?  

 (2) Let us include our fathers, grandfathers, uncles, God fathers, as well as fathers who have had children leave the church, fathers who do not provide for their children and fathers who suffer from any type of addiction – their names should definitely be included.

(3) Include intentions for the sanctification and enlightenment of Bishops, Archbishops and Cardinals attending the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Spring Assembly from June 16-18, especially in matters of Holy Communion and Politicians and Government Leaders who support and promote abortion and other issues that are against the teachings of the Catholic Church. 

(4) Many priests have Ordination Anniversaries in June. Let us remember them. Also, priests who are special to you, priests who are suffering, either physically or emotionally. Those priests whom no one loves; priests who are being persecuted. Let us include intentions for Seminaries and Seminarians who are studying for the Priesthood, for their sanctification. 

(5) In the month of June, the Church will celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi – the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ and the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.  Let us include intentions for proper reverence of the Body and Blood of Christ and in reparation for blasphemies committed against the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
