During an interview on a conservative podcast this week, Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene compared the House's mask requirement to the Holocaust.
John, I won't share Greene's exact wording here. Her statement was harmful, inaccurate, and fueled by anti-Semitism and hate. What I will do is condemn Marjorie Taylor Greene's statement without delay:

Our nation just faced down a pandemic that claimed over half a million American lives. We need leaders who will listen to the advice of scientists and take every single precaution seriously -- as adults should, let alone representatives of the United States.
Comparing health-related requirements to keep people safe to the mass genocide that led to the murder of at least six million Jewish people (and at least five million people who did not identify as Jewish) is reprehensible. Greene's words fuel anti-Semitism at a time when we are seeing a rise in anti-Semitism in our country.
This is not the first time Marjorie Taylor Greene has proven she is unfit to serve the American people, and it certainly won't be the last. It's why I voted to ban her from serving on any committee in Congress, and why I am condemning her hateful rhetoric today.
