With bipartisan support, the House of Representatives just approved a commission to investigate the January 6th insurrection.

Like the independent commission launched after the terrorist attack on 9/11, this commission would investigate the perpetrators’ motives, the factors behind the coup, and how to prevent similar tragedies in the future.

However, the commission needs to pass in the Senate, and that won’t be easy. We need to urge the Senate to approve the commission. Please, sign this petition now to voice your support:

Mitch McConnell already publicly opposed the commission, and if other Senators follow suit, this attack will remain misunderstood.

The insurrection on January 6th was a deadly event. Failing to examine the coup leaves our nation and democracy at risk of another attack.
