Earlier today, Laura held up one of her most important campaign promises for the third year in a row: ensuring our education system is fully funded.

In addition to fully funding our schools, this legislation:
* Requires an annual report card for children in foster care;
* Authorizes limited remote learning opportunities;
* Provides criteria to identify students who are eligible to receive at-risk services and programs;
* Requires school boards to allocate funds to improve academic performance;
* And so much more.

When Laura took office, our schools were in disarray after years under Sam Brownback's administration. Ensuring our children have access to a quality education not only helps them succeed, but also promotes economic development and businesses succeed by providing employers with a highly skilled workforce.
