Friend -- right now, legislation is sitting on Mitch McConnell's desk that would re-establish net neutrality and bring back a free and open internet.
It's been there for months. And with every passing day that he refuses to bring the Save the Internet Act up for a vote, things get worse for net neutrality.
Just last week, a federal court ruled in favor of FCC Chairman Ajit Pai's decision to gut net neutrality protections -- handing a win to big cable companies and taking away an important avenue to fight the FCC's decision.
This court ruling proves one thing: The only way to protect net neutrality for good nationwide is by passing legislation in the U.S. Senate. And to do that, I'll need your help.
Join me in telling Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans: Quit stonewalling and support a free and open internet. Add your name to my petition in support of net neutrality today!

Getting Senate Republicans to go against the wishes of the special interests and big corporations won't be easy. But we have public opinion on our side.
Majorities of Democrats, Independents, and Republicans support net neutrality. They know that the end of President Obama's protections will mean fast lanes for special interests -- and slow lanes for the rest of us.
But Mitch McConnell is refusing to hold a vote on this legislation, hoping tokill our momentum and stop us from speaking out for what's right.
Let's prove him wrong. Join me in showing that Americans nationwide support reinstating net neutrality protections. Sign the petition today!
