Dear John,
Recruiting and training women to run at the local level of government is a critical component of building the bench for women to successfully run and win at the legislative level and above. In addition to creating a strong pipeline, this long-term strategic effort ensures that women are represented at every level of government.
I’m proud to lead this work at Lillian’s List as the Local Engagement Director. To achieve our vision, we have put together a series of FREE panels to introduce future candidates to the roles and responsibilities of local government offices.
The challenge for women is not winning, but deciding to run.

We know that women often have to be asked multiple times in order to run for political office, but when they run, they win. Help us ensure a record number of women run for office in 2022 by being the first to encourage a woman to run. Share these events with leaders in your community who should run for office, regardless of their current or past involvement in politics.
In solidarity,
Jessica Holmes
Local Engagement Director
