Every spring break and summer, Alliance For Children hosts up to 40 children at a time for a one-week day camp experience - Camp B.L.U.E.
Camp B.L.U.E. (Building. Learning. Understanding. Empowering.) was developed to further support current Alliance For Children families by providing children with fun adventures that they may otherwise not have an opportunity to experience. Through field trips, interactive activities, and dynamic presentations, children expand their worldview and are given tools that promote positive well-being and self-esteem.
At past camps, children have spent time with first responders including police and firefighters, SWAT teams, medical personnel, and other professionals who share their experiences and inspire children. Children also participate in team building games, yoga, arts and crafts, as well as other activities that make day camp memorable and fun.
Camp B.L.U.E. is not complete without at least one field trip. Past field trips have included iFLY, the Dallas World Aquarium, the Fort Worth Stockyards, and Main Event, allowing our children exposure to new places that give them a chance to feel like a kid, not a victim of abuse.
