I’m putting together a special (virtual) Pride Month celebration, and you’re invited!
Join me and Reps. Sharice Davids and Mondaire Jones for a virtual happy hour on Thursday, June 10 at 6pm ET. This will be a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come in the fight for LGBTQ equality, celebrate our LGBTQ family, and recommit to the continuing march forward. Tickets start at just $25—get yours today! [[link removed]]

I can’t think of two more inspiring leaders to sit down with for Pride Month. Rep. Sharice Davids was first elected in 2018, when she became one of the first two Native American women to serve in Congress, and the first openly LGBTQ person to represent Kansas in Washington. She’s worked tirelessly to make health care more affordable and accessible, and curb the influence of special interests in Washington. (Oh, and she’s one of the best hitters we’ve got on the Congressional Women’s Softball Team).
My fellow New Yorker, Rep. Mondaire Jones, made history when he was sworn in as the first openly gay, Black member of Congress earlier this year. And he’s wasted no time getting to work on behalf of his community in Washington: He was elected unanimously as Freshman Representative to House Democratic leadership, and is a leader in the fight for democracy reform, quality, affordable child care, and civil rights.
I hope you’ll join us for what I know will be a joyful and inspiring conversation! Make sure to get your tickets today. [[link removed]]
With love,
Kirsten
