John, I’m not your typical politician.

I’m the daughter of an immigrant, a single mother of two who survived on Medicaid and earned my college degree online while working a full-time job. I’m not running for money or fame or power.

I’m running for Lt. Governor because I know my story is not unique. We need a leader who looks like the people of Virginia, and one who will fight for them too.

For too long, our government hasn’t worked for working families like mine. It’s allowed the rich to get richer while those below the poverty line stay there. It’s permitted dangerous leaders like Donald Trump to fan the flames of white supremacy and racism. And it’s kept too many Americans from having a seat at the table.

Well, I’ve had enough. I’m pulling my chair up to this table and demanding a system that works for all Virginians and working families — and I’m asking you to join me.

So if you can, will you chip in $10, or any amount, to our campaign for Lt. Governor today? With Election Day quickly approaching, your support is more important than ever.

I can’t thank you enough for standing by me. Let's win this thing.
