In just a moment, I am going to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign to stop the Republican recall. Please give me a chance to explain why this request, especially today, is so important.

Here is the truth:

One week from today, we're closing the books on an important end-of-month fundraising deadline for our campaign.

Now, I am not taking this recall lying down. We can't. It's backed by the RNC, anti-mask and anti-tax extremists, and pro-Trump forces who hope to catch us sleeping and overturn the last election so they can undo much of what we've done to emerge from this pandemic.

I am out there working hard on recovery, so I need your help on the campaign side. And this deadline is important. So here's the part where I ask:

Can I count on you to make a $3 contribution to help kick off this critical end-of-month fundraising drive to stop the Republican recall attempt in California?

California cannot afford to be sidetracked by partisan political games. So we'll fight this recall with all we have because ending this pandemic as quickly as possible is too important to get delayed by Trump loyalists and far-right Republicans.
