What you just read is pulled directly from a letter written by Capitol Police officers, addressed directly to members of Congress, the night before last week's vote on a bipartisan bill establishing a commission to investigate the events of January 6th.

And it wasn't enough to stop Tom McClintock from voting against it.

That's right. Tom McClintock apparently thinks there is nothing to look into after American citizens violently stormed our Capitol building, attacked and killed Capitol Police, and attempted to overturn the results of a free and fair Presidential election.

John, I'm at a loss for words. It's disgraceful. It's partisan politics at its absolute worst. And to no surprise, it's par for the course with Tom McClintock.

Bipartisan commissions are commonplace in the aftermath of acts of violence, and they are incredibly important in finding what went wrong, and how we can improve our national security.

To suggest that there's nothing to investigate after American citizens ransacked congressional offices, chanted their desire to hang the Vice President of the United States, and led to the deaths of several Capitol Police officers is a dereliction of duty as an elected member of Congress.

The American people deserve to know exactly what happened that day. The Capitol Police and Metropolitan Police deserve an investigation of the attacks that left three of their own dead and hundreds more wounded.

And John, our democracy deserves more care and stewardship than what Tom McClintock has to offer.

We knew Tom McClintock was a disgrace to our district, but he just cemented his status as a disgrace to our nation. Chip in $5 or whatever you can to flip CA-04 and retire Tom from Congress for good.
