Having followed Iran’s malign behavior for decades, American Jewish Committee (AJC) took a lively interest in the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) decision and debate, taking more than three weeks to confer privately with a wide range of leaders, including multiple times with Secretary of State John Kerry and Chief Negotiator Wendy Sherman. In the end, AJC opposed the accord, believing it was too risky a proposition. In 2021, the world is different, the Middle East is different, and America is different. What have European, Israeli, and American policymakers learned from the last six years?

Join us for a special live recording of AJC’s podcast, People of the Pod [link removed], with AJC Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer Jason Isaacson, AJC Jerusalem Director Avital Leibovich, and AJC Transatlantic Institute Director Daniel Schwammenthal, in discussion with co-host, Seffi Kogen, as they analyze what the next few months could bring.
