Don't miss the Chamber's County Board Candidate Forum. Current County Board Member Takis Karantonis (D) is running for re-election and is being challenged by Chanda Choun (D) in the Democratic Primary on June 8. The winner of that primary will face Mike Cantwell (I) and Audrey Clement (I) in the general election on November 2.

This business-themed candidate forum features a moderated discussion of topics important to the Arlington business community with the candidates running for the Arlington County Board. The event will provide candidates the opportunity to engage with local business leaders and to address the key issues affecting the business community. Washington Business Journal's Alex Koma will moderate the discussion.

This event is free and open to the business community, as well as the general public. Please note the registration details below.
Call for Host Venues for Chamber Events and Meetings

Are you excited about the return of in-person programming? The Chamber is looking for hosts for its Business after Business networking series and Board of Directors meetings as they transition back to in-person venues.

Business After Business is a popular event that occurs from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The purpose of Business After Business is to provide a monthly opportunity for Chamber members to meet and mingle with one another, both socially and professionally. The series is also a great promotional opportunity for the hosts.

Chamber Board of Directors meetings are lunchtime events and are a great way to showcase your space to up to 50 of Arlington’s top business leaders. As the host, you will also have the opportunity to give a formal welcome before the meetings starts.

For more information on becoming a host, review our Business After Business Guidelines and Board of Directors Meeting Guidelines and contact Olivia McKay, Operations Manager, at [email protected] to inquire about available dates.

The Chamber expressed support for the broad goals of the Public Art Master Plan update to contribute to Arlington's vibrancy, while suggesting amendments to make the plan stronger. The drafted plan favors County-curated art over privately-curated art, and adds cost without accounting for other public benefits delivered by site plan projects. The Chamber encouraged Arlington County to broaden its definition of public art and to work to minimize the cost burden of public art contributions.
