Did you see this, John? Once again, Rand Paul is peddling absurd conspiracy theories and misinformation about the pandemic.
Rand Paul is now in the headlines for accusing Dr. Anthony Fauci of funding a Wuhan laboratory that intentionally “juiced up a virus” and purposely created COVID-19.
Let’s make this clear: Hundreds of thousands died from the pandemic. Millions of Americans lost their jobs. Thousands have lost their homes in the COVID recession. But Rand Paul’s priority is getting into a televised bickering contest and throwing a staged tantrum with the nation’s top infectious disease expert.

None of us could have imagined the scale of crisis our country has faced in this past year.
Still, even in the face of hardship, we did what Kentuckians have always done. We’ve stood together — in faith, in the streets, in the halls of government, and in community. We showed up for each other to provide love and support when the pandemic hit.
Meanwhile, Rand Paul has been busy playing political games, while voting against even the most basic aid for Kentuckians. While he obsesses about foolishly bickering with Dr. Fauci, families across Kentucky are still fighting to stay afloat. It’s nothing new. From making false claims about Trump’s stolen victory, to downplaying the severity of COVID-19 — Rand Paul has put our democracy and health at risk too many times.
I’m sick and tired of this guy making a mockery of our commonwealth. We deserve leadership who will listen to us, fight for us, understand our dreams and struggles, and stand with us to win our future.
