Last week, Congressman Andrew Clyde denied the existence of the January 6 insurrection that resulted in dozens of injuries and multiple deaths. He even said, “If you didn’t know the TV footage was a video from January the sixth, you’d actually think it was a normal tourist visit.”
Let’s be clear, this is a lie.
In fact, photos from that day show that Rep. Clyde helped barricade the doors to the House floor, something we assume he doesn’t do every time visitors show up for a tour.

This disappointing display by Rep. Clyde is yet another example of a party that is still too afraid to stand up to Donald Trump. The former president continues to haunt Republicans, who have allowed his lies like denying the insurrection to fester.
The ousting of Rep. Cheney from party leadership for refusing to perpetuate these lies has made it clear that the truth no longer has a place in the Trump GOP. It’s now the party of Marjorie Taylor Greene, who said yesterday that, “the people who breached the Capitol on January 6 are being abused” because we dare to hold them accountable.
We have to stand up and make sure our leaders in Congress stand up for the truth, no matter what. Will you help us get the truth out? These Republicans are aiding and abetting insurrectionists and that cannot stand unanswered!
