As our nation faces a major crisis at the southern border, I’m ready to do whatever it takes to stop the flow of illegal immigration and cartel-related crime through Texas.

That’s why I’ve authorized the state of Texas to spend almost $1 billion more to do what the reprobates in Congress won’t do: secure the border.

But radical socialists don’t see a problem. Instead, they’ve proposed eliminating ICE and shutting down the entire Department of Homeland Security!

While Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi refuse to lift a finger to help President Donald Trump secure our border, I cannot afford to wait until Congress acts.

If we don’t take action against the Democrats’ “open-borders” agenda NOW, I’m afraid for the future of Texas and our nation.

I’ve never been afraid of a fight. Before becoming Governor of Texas, I took on Washington, D.C., every chance I got—suing the Obama Administration 31 times to defend the Rule of Law as Attorney General.

When President Barack Obama tried to circumvent Congress and force through amnesty by signing an Executive Order, I stopped him with a lawsuit that was upheld all the way to the Supreme Court.

When Congress couldn’t pass a ban on “sanctuary cities,” I signed legislation banning them in Texas and creating strict penalties for government officials who REFUSE to cooperate with ICE. My hope is that this law will serve as a model for other states around the country.

I know illegal immigration isn’t just a problem in Texas—or other border states, for that matter. It’s a growing problem across America. But the truth is these problems start in border states like Texas.

That’s why I need to you in my corner.

National Democrats would love nothing more than to stop our border security plan by turning Texas blue this election. And that’s not all they have their sights on.

You see, should they succeed in seizing Texas and our 38 electoral votes, no Republican may ever win the White House again! That means every conservative in the country, no matter where you live, has a dog in this fight.

After Beto O’Rourke nearly defeated Republican U.S. Senator Ted Cruz last November, national Democrats believe they can make major gains in Texas in 2020—even defeating President Trump and guaranteeing a Washington takeover for the extremists!

In fact, a recent poll showed both Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders beating President Trump in Texas. There’s a reason the Democrats have chosen Houston as the latest presidential debate site to determine who is most opposed to the Rule of Law and most firmly in the socialists’ camp.

If President Trump doesn’t carry Texas next November, he will not win re-election.

Doing nothing will only lead to disaster for Texas. And if Texas is lost, the entire country will sink into chaos—not only welcoming socialism but destroying the Rule of Law with open borders and no consequences for criminals who threaten our safety.

That’s why the Texas Legislature and I are dedicating almost $1 BILLION MORE from Texas’ budget to secure the border by:

Funding 500 Department of Public Safety officers to help with border security in addition to ordering 1,000 more National Guard troops to Texas’ southern border

Funding more boats on the Rio Grande River to patrol popular crossing areas

Funding detection equipment to ensure that there are more eyes in the skies watching for drug cartels and “coyotes” who smuggle people into our country

And that’s why I’m asking for your support.

I’m fighting back to make sure we keep Texas red up and down the ballot. I won’t let the Democrats tread on Texas. And I won’t let them seize absolute power in Washington, D.C. through the Lone Star State.
