John,
There was a time when we had mothers; now we just have "birthing people."
Rep. Cori Bush recently delivered a gripping personal testimony about the need for good prenatal healthcare in minority communities.
And then she ruined it.
Rep. Bush closed her remarks by demanding high-quality care not just for mothers, but for "birthing persons"--insinuating that there are men (and members of other supposed genders) capable of giving birth.
By pandering to the transgender movement, Rep. Bush's concerns about maternal healthcare were lost. But that's not the only reason pro-lifers should pay attention to ridiculous rhetoric about "birthing persons."
On this episode of The 40 Days for Life Podcast, we discuss:
- What does the transgender agenda have to do with abortion?
- Why are Rep. Bush's remarks insulting to all mothers and all women?
- How does transgender rhetoric dehumanize unborn babies?
