[link removed] [[link removed]] [link removed] [[link removed]]Dear John,
Every day seems to bring more news and speculation about the Supreme Court, but what are we to make of it? We have a Lunch & Learn for that! I hope you’ll join us this Friday, May 28th, from 12-1 PM for Unpacking the 2020-2021 United States Supreme Court Term.
REGISTER HERE [[link removed]]The 2020-2021 Supreme Court term marks the beginning of a new era for the Court. With the addition of Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett, lawyers, journalists, and court watchers are all trying to make sense of what the new composition of the Court will mean for a whole host of issues. James Romoser, Editor of SCOTUSblog [[link removed]] , which provides independent news and analysis about the Supreme Court, will join us to cover the major cases that the Supreme Court has decided and preview the major cases yet to be decided.
This event is being cosponsored by the ACLU of Maine, Equality Maine, Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Maine Women’s Lobby, League of Women Voters of Maine, and the Maine Education Association.
I hope to see you Friday,
Kathleen
