Friend,
I want to tell you about my mom. Here’s my mom and I at my law school graduation over ten years ago now:
My mom is a Black woman. She was born in segregated South Carolina. She helped me become the first in our family to go to college. She led our family through good times and bad times.
Importantly, my mom was a proud union member. She worked in the airline industry when I was growing up. My mom relied on her union for economic security and advocacy on her behalf in the workplace. That’s how I learned about the power of collective action at a young age.
Let me be clear: Labor unions are the best way for working people to join together and win better wages, benefits, and working conditions for themselves.
Throughout this campaign, I’ve made it no secret that I will fight for the labor movement as Lt. Governor. I will be advocate-in-chief for the push to repeal Virginia’s harmful ‘Right to Work’ law. I’ll support legislation that guarantees collective bargaining rights for both private and public sector workers. I’ll fight to raise the minimum wage to a truly living wage and provide paid sick leave for all workers.
We can make these goals a reality by winning this primary and beating the Republicans in November. Can you chip in $3 to our campaign that is fighting for the working class? We have less than three weeks until election day, and every dollar counts »

Families like mine deserve the security and prosperity that unions bring. I’m determined to give every working Virginian that opportunity.
In solidarity,
Sean Perryman
