INSPIRING HOPE THROUGH TRANSFORMATION
“I never really told any of my teachers … what was going on. I never wanted to use that as an excuse to get pity or anything.” —Darien
When I (Darien) think about my childhood with my mom, I don’t think of the exciting moments like our family vacation to Disney World. Instead, I remember running errands—riding shotgun while Mom checked off to-dos. It was daily life together I loved the most. I was joined to the hip with her. She was like my best friend.
We also loved cooking and eating out together. She’d make a mean chicken fajita. We were big foodies.
I was happy, living with my mom and grandparents in a close-knit Dominican community in New York City. But when I was 11, everything came crashing down.
BIBLES ARE NEEDED NOW MORE THAN EVER
Bibles are one of the ways to get hope behind prison bars. And nothing provides hope like the living Word of God. The demand for Bibles is at an all-time high. Will you help us meet the need? Please give generously today.
