Hi John,

I know Mary Gay sent a message yesterday outlining our strategy for incorporating the 40,000 new voters we're expecting from redistricting, but I wanted to give a further breakdown of what that looks like.
+ We need to knock on 20,000 new doors by the summer to reintroduce Mary Gay to the community
+ To do that, we need to recruit about 100 new volunteers
+ And to do THAT, we must hire 5 new organizers by the end of the summer to manage our growing operation

But right now, we frankly don't have the funds we need. The reality is, we can't fundraise from our future constituents yet -- the new lines haven't been drawn, and they don't know Mary Gay and everything she's done for this district. They're not committed supporters like you -- at least not yet.

We know we're asking a lot of you to help us step up and take on this challenge -- we're fundraising for a bigger district operation on a smaller district budget. But if we don't get out ahead, we'll be scrambling once the final lines are drawn.
