John,

To be upfront, at the end of this email, I’m going to ask you to give an $3 donation. I hope you’ll read the whole thing and consider being a part of our people-powered campaign.

John, I’m in awe of the movement we’ve built together.

Our average donation is $11 -- a number I’m extraordinarily proud of.

That’s because it means people who believe in our work are giving what they can, when they can.

I could write a book to every single person who has donated to our campaign, but I wanted to take a few minutes and thank just a few of you.

Ruth from 95820 -- thank you for your $3 donation. It will help us mobilize our supporter base.

Ronald from 20721 -- thank you for your $10 donation. It will help us keep our ads on the air!

Ysabel from 95112 -- thank you for your $25 donation. It will help keep me fighting every single day for our communities.
To every person who has dug deep to support our team, thank you.

Since I don’t accept a single penny from corporate PACs or do a second of call time, the donations from grassroots supporters like you are the foundation of this movement.

So I need to ask, John: We need 1,000 people to step up and give $3 tonight to help us stay on track. Will you please be one of them?
