This past week, Detroit DSA comrades came
out to show solidarity with Palestinian, Yemeni, and Anishinaabek
comrades at two events in Dearborn.
On Saturday, we marched with the Palestinian Youth Movement
and the Yemeni Liberation Movement to commemorate the Nakba, which
means “catastrophe" - when Palestinians were forcibly
removed from their homes by settler-colonial forces in 1948.
On Tuesday, DSA came together with
PYM, YLM, and the MI Anishinaabek Caucus in response to Joe Biden’s
visit to the Ford plant. We demanded the shutdown of Line 5, a stop
to U.S. Aid to Israel, and the end of the blockade in Yemen. We were
joined by comrades from the Black Lives Matter movement in a beautiful
show of solidarity.
Detroit DSA is proud to be led by and stand
with Black, brown and indigeneous people from the Great Lakes to the
Mediterranean Sea.

elected president of the faculty and academic staff union at Wayne
State, running on a platform of more member activism, a transparent

Detroit DSA is a 1200+ member funded
organization. We receive no money from outside sources so we can say
things like "Defund the Police" and "Abolish ICE" without losing
funding, and we will always act democratically in the interests of our
members and the working class! If you're able to, we ask that you make monthly
contributions as they more directly benefit our chapter. Thank you for
whatever amount you're able to contribute!
If you're ready to join the fight for the
working class, go here: dsausa.org/join and send your dues receipt to [email protected]
to get plugged
in!
