Together, We Can Get This Hero Back In His Home. Alfred Guerra is a recipient of a Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, WWII Defense Service Medal, WWII Campaign Medal, and other medals and awards. But currently, this 95-year-old hero doesn't have a home.

Family tragedy, inclement weather, and other delays have turned a home repair project into over half a year of a gutted house.

With your help, Soldiers' Angels wants to get this home repair done once and for all. Will you help us get this war hero back into his home?

Alfred Guerra was wounded in WWII during an enemy ambush in the Pacific. He later went on to fight in Okinawa where he was shot. Instead of going to an Army field hospital for treatment, he was transferred to a Navy hospital ship and his records were lost in the transfer. His mother thought his was MIA for seven months.

Military Caregivers need our support now more than ever. Although these unsung heroes faced many challenges before the pandemic, the isolation that has come from the health crisis has increased their challenges tenfold. We have a waiting list of female caregivers who want to be supported... but we can't provide that support until we have more volunteers to support them! If you are a female interested in a rewarding virtual volunteer opportunity, please consider becoming a friend to a caregiver. Be a shoulder for them to lean on and provide them comfort through care packages and letters.

Soldiers' Angels Food Distributions Across the Country Are Helping Veterans In Need Soldiers' Angels Veteran Food Distributions happen every month in six cities across the country. Each event serves 200 veterans and their families with approximately 75 pounds of food, including meats, produce, and nonperishables.

These events would not be possible if it were not for the help of a small army of volunteers who come out every month and financial support from businesses and corporations through sponsorships that help offset the cost of the event.

Below are just a few of the amazing individuals and sponsors who keep this event happening for our veterans month after month across the country.

Thank you to everyone who helps Soldiers' Angels continue providing this service for veterans in need!
