The House is forming a 9/11-style commission to investigate the January 6 insurrection, but Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is opposing the commission, calling it “shortsighted.”

After Trump incited one of the darkest days in recent years -- the armed invasion of our capitol that killed five and threatened our democracy -- Rep. McCarthy is now OPPOSING an investigation into the events of that fateful day, leaving our country vulnerable to another similar attack.
