Despite some absurd objections from Republicans, the Senate Judiciary Committee I lead advanced the nominations of an extremely qualified and diverse group of judges: Ketanji Brown Jackson, Candace Jackson-Akiwumi, Julien Neals, Zahid Quraishi, and Regina Rodriguez.

I strongly believe that all of my colleagues should vote for these judges. President Biden is working hard to ensure that our judicial system looks more like the people it serves -- and these judges will bring their unique life experiences and qualifications to their roles upholding justice.

We can no longer allow the judiciary to be undermined by a lack of diversity. Not a single African American was nominated for our circuit courts over the past four years under Trump, but President Biden is changing that.

If you’re with me -- and ready for a new generation of diverse judges who are ready to deliver equal justice under the law -- I need you to join me in calling on the Senate to confirm them.
