We're excited to announce our upcoming 6-week online course, War and the Environment, which will run from June 7 - July 18, 2021
This course will provide participants an opportunity to learn from,
dialogue with, and strategize for change with World BEYOND War experts,
peer activists, and changemakers from around the world.
- How does war
contribute to the environmental crisis?
- How does climate change
contribute to armed conflict?
- How can the peace movement and the climate
change movement work together more effectively to optimise the impact
of both?
These questions and more will be explored in the course.
Each week of the course will feature a guest facilitator from World
BEYOND War's team or its partner organisations. These guest experts will
help you to explore weekly topics through an online chat room. Weekly
content includes a mix of text, images, video, and audio. The course is done on your schedule, so there's no need to worry about the timing of it.
We'll
dismantle the myths of war, and delve into its alternatives, concluding
the course with organizing and action ideas.
A certificate is provided
to participants who complete all written assignments.
Here is the course registration page.
Please help out by sharing this far and wide!
