Cori stands up for every person who's unhoused or facing eviction every single day in Congress.
John, Cori won't stop saying it: Guaranteed housing is a basic human right.
Cori knows how important housing is, so she's been fighting for eviction moratoriums throughout this public health crisis. Last month, Cori partnered with St. Louis County Executive Dr. Sam Page to ensure residents are protected from eviction.
But despite the CDC's federal eviction moratorium, thousands of people are still at risk of being evicted as a result of policy loopholes and misinformation. That's why Cori led nearly 30 other members of Congress in asking the CDC to establish a universal eviction moratorium that would be expanded to cover all eviction processes.
The science is clear, kicking people out of their homes during this pandemic has led to hundreds of thousands of additional COVID-19 cases — especially in Black and brown communities that have been disproportionately impacted by the global pandemic. It is deadly, dangerous, and morally wrong.
Will you add your name if you agree with Cori that housing is a human right and that we need a universal eviction moratorium for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic?

John, Cori stands up for every person who's unhoused or facing eviction every single day in Congress because these are experiences she's lived herself.
Cori's been evicted, unhoused, and has lived in a car with her two babies. She understands first-hand how our leaders have failed us in the past. Our housing system is in crisis, and we need leaders like Cori committed to fighting for guaranteed, affordable housing.
The government must step in to ensure no one is being evicted during this public health crisis, but it's going to take a massive, organized show of grassroots support. Please add your name to support Cori's call for guaranteed housing and an end to evictions during the pandemic.
In solidarity,
Team Cori
