This past November, millions of Americans came together to vote for affordable health care, a higher minimum wage, protected reproductive rights, and so much more.
Together, we flipped the Senate, protected a House majority, and sent Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to the White House. But our work didn’t end with those elections.
Every day, Ro and his Democratic colleagues are writing legislation, grilling CEOs in committee hearings, and fighting on behalf of working families.
Meanwhile, Mitch McConnell and the GOP are doing their best to abuse the filibuster and stop progress at every turn.
Republicans across the country are slashing early voting, illegitimately purging voter rolls, and removing polling places and ballot drop off boxes in low-income and Black and brown neighborhoods. They’re attemping to ban abortion after six weeks, before most folks even know they’re pregnant. And they’re doing everything they can to stop even the smallest increase in the minimum wage – even though it’s been 12 years since the last time the federal minimum wage was raised.
Let us be clear: there is no off-year in politics. What we do now will affect generations to come. And if Ro and his colleagues are going to pass the legislation you elected them to pass, they need to know they have your support.
