Jamaal has been at the forefront of our progressive fight, ensuring that
our communities' needs and issues are addressed in Congress while
mobilizing to bring swift improvements to NY-16. 

Jamaal introduced groundbreaking legislation such as the Congressional
Oversight of Unjust Policing Act in response to the January 6 attack on
the Capitol — which was a major factor in the most recent introduction of
the Capitol attack investigation. Heʼs uplifted local mutual aid
organizations and labor movements from New York to Alabama, and worked to
end vaccine inequities and increase vaccine access by bringing vaccination
sites to NY-16. Heʼs continued to support underserved and disenfranchised
members of our communities, and gives a voice to those who are too
frequently ignored.

And while Jamaal is busy legislating and fighting for us in Congress,
