Hi John,

I know you've heard a lot from me in the last few days and weeks about Pennsylvania's redistricting process and how it will change the makeup of our district. We're expecting to add about 40,000 new constituents -- and we need a plan to prove that I deserve to represent them in Congress, like I've been doing for the rest of PA-05 for the past 3 years.

Today, I wanted to give you an update on our plans to make sure this seat stays blue, no matter what changes are headed our way.

We need to knock on at least 20,000 doors and recruit dozens of new volunteers who can introduce me to different parts of the community. We need to invest at least $7,000 in TV ads so that more people can know my face and hear my story. We need to hire more staff to manage our growing operation.

In short, we need to scale up -- but unfortunately, we're still fundraising like we're operating in the old PA-05, and that's simply not enough anymore.

That's why I'm asking for your help today. We're setting an ambitious goal to raise $10,000 in the next 5 days to give us a jump start on our field operations.
