your friends, families and communities to get out and support the For the
People Act (S. 1), a groundbreaking bill designed to make our government
better suited to work for the people – rather than for corporations and
special interests.

activist training TOMORROW, on Sunday May 23, at 7:30 PM ET (5:30 PM CT /
4:30 PM PT) to teach you how to use stories to help get the For the People

Every person in the progressive community has a story to tell. Some of us
have been turned away at the polls. Others have struggled to afford
medication because of the outsized power of Big Pharma’s money in
influencing elected officials. And almost everyone remembers their first
time voting or the first time they were truly inspired by a candidate who
would do so much good in the world if elected.

We need these stories to help everyone understand the importance of a
democracy that represents, reflects, and responds to every single one of
us – and not just the wealthy or powerful.

The For the People Act is a landmark bill to realize the promise of our
democracy by getting big money out of politics, ensuring every eligible
person’s freedom to vote, and guaranteeing that congressional districts
are drawn to give fair representation for their residents. But right-wing
opposition to the bill is growing, so it’s crucial that we all work
together to tell the story of this bill and why it’s vital to each and
every one of us that the Senate passes it swiftly.
