Tell Congress:
"Our nation’s most precious resource is our children. As Congress negotiates what to include in a long term plan for our families and communities, you must make children, youth and families a top priority. Together, we must address child poverty and address inequities faced by youth and young adults. Congress must act quickly to ensure each child in the U.S. can succeed now and into the future."

John,
The American Rescue Plan effectively responded to urgent needs with temporary help—cutting childhood poverty in half. But only for one year.
That legislation is an effective first step. Now we have more work to do.
President Biden has now proposed a comprehensive investment and tax package that invests in education, health care, housing, childcare, nutrition and more while making the rich and corporations begin to pay their fair share in taxes.
Send a letter to Congress demanding they prioritize children, youth and families in the investment and tax plan currently being negotiated.
Together, we’re demanding our elected leaders permanently address child poverty and address inequities faced by youth and young adults.
To do so, we must make the increases in the Child Tax Credit and the Earned Income Tax Credit for workers without dependents permanent; expand affordable, high-quality childcare through vouchers and refundable tax credits; provide universal preschool for three- and four-year-olds, offer free community college, expand job opportunities and training for youth and young adults, and provide more financial aid to increase college completion.
But that's not all.
We must also increase the supply of affordable housing and offer more rental subsidies for families with low incomes; pass legislation that increases access to nutritious food; increase SNAP benefits, and develop comprehensive paid family and medical leave and sick leave.
John, our nation’s most precious resource is our children. Demand Congress act quickly to ensure each child in the U.S. can succeed now, and into the future. Can you take 1-minute to send a letter to Congress?
Our country must make multi-trillion dollar investments in our future. Once we finally get the rich and corporations to pay their fair share in taxes, we can permanently reduce chronic childhood poverty in our country.
Thank you for all you do to fight for a future that includes all of us, not just the wealthy few.
