Fellow Conservative,
The Texas election integrity bill, Senate Bill 7, is headed to conference committee. The conference committee consists of 7 Republicans and 3 Democrats (5 from the House, and 5 from the Senate), and they will have the opportunity to add and subtract parts of the bill.

SB7 includes strong provisions, but more can be added to make it even stronger (such as voter ID for vote-by-mail). Head to our Texas Action Center <[link removed]> to learn more.
Arizona has already passed three key bills, but there are still a couple more to go. It is important that activists are continuing to contact their legislators as well as Speaker Bowers to urge them to support these bills. To do so, go to our Arizona Action Center. <[link removed]>

Happening on the Hill
- “The squad” is trying to block funding to Israel <[link removed]>—AOC and crew are trying to withhold support from Israel through an effort to block a $735 million arms sale to Israel. This comes at a time when support for America’s closest ally in the Middle East is imperative. “The squad” is running a campaign to defend Hamas and alienate us from our allies.

- Dems blocked sanctions against Hamas financial supporters <[link removed]>—After being reintroduced by Rep. Brian Mast (R-Fla.), Democrats blocked the Palestinian International Terrorism Support Prevention Act from being considered (The vote was 217-209, along party lines). Among other measures, the act would impose sanctions on foreign entities that are known to have provided financial assistance to Hamas. It is worth noting, this bill passed the House unanimously in 2019, but the Left has become so radical in just two years time, that Democrats now rejected it.

- Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.) introduces bill to combat Critical Race Theory <[link removed]>—Bishop introduced the “Combatting Racist Training in the Military Act” to prevent federal funds from being used to promote and teach CRT. There have been numerous reports of Marxist ideologies being woven into military training resources, notably a Space Force commander was removed from his command <[link removed]> for writing a book on the subject.

- Congress is considering a central planning bill <[link removed]>––The Senate will soon be debating legislation on how to respond to China. The bill is correct that we need to rise to the occasion to counter China. But adopting China’s ways of central planning is the WRONG strategy. This bill reworks America’s scientific grant process through the National Science Foundation in an unproductive manner, bringing us closer to China’s style of government controlled central planning. We didn’t beat the USSR by adopting communism, and likewise, copying China is not the way to outmaneuver them. America's strength has always been the innovation, resiliency, and flexibility of individuals and entities in the market to respond to challenges or solve problems.
Biden Border Crisis
It has now been 60 days since Vice President Harris was tapped as Biden’s border czar, and she still has not traveled to the border region. <[link removed]> Despite traveling to other places around the country, the VP can’t seem to find the time to deal with the crisis that she is supposed to be leading the efforts on.

Rep. Ashley Hinson (R-Iowa) introduced a bill that would halt federal funding for the VP’s travels until she travels to the border.

This crisis is one of Biden’s own making. Yesterday, the Daily Signal broke a story <[link removed]> detailing that Trump’s DHS secretary even called his replacement, Alejandro
Mayorkas, in the Biden administration and specifically cautioned him of what could go wrong.

This is a perfect example of the principle, “people determine policy.” With the wrong people, you get the wrong policy, and it’s why Heritage Action so firmly opposed Mayorkas during his confirmation process. <[link removed]>

And ultimately, voters are the ones who will get the final say on Biden’s failed border policies. The Founders smartly gave Congressmen two-year terms, giving voters a chance to weigh-in frequently on what’s happening in Washington.

When voters have their say in 2022, we want to make sure they are heard. That’s why we’re so focused on making it easy to vote, and hard to cheat!
