Governor Ducey was referring to his relationship with Governor Claudia Pavlovich of Sonora, but the line applies to so much of what drives Arizona's success. The language of opportunity is what we're about.

This week marked the last official meeting between the leaders of Arizona and Sonora — a capstone to the mutually beneficial partnership that has defined the bi-national relationship between the two states over the past six years. This and other highlights of this busy week are below.
Governors Ducey, Pavlovich Sign Water, Air Quality Agreement
Governor Ducey and Sonora Governor Claudia Pavlovich capped their close, six-year professional relationship today by signing an agreement to secure the neighboring states’ water future and expand collaboration to monitor air quality.

Governor Ducey Signs Legislation To Help Prevent Fentanyl Overdoses
Senate Bill 1486 excludes narcotic drug testing products that are used to determine whether a controlled substance contains fentanyl or a fentanyl analog from the list of illegal drug paraphernalia.

Governor Ducey Signs Bill Allowing To-Go Cocktails
The Governor in March 2020 issued an Executive Order restricting enforcement of regulations that prohibit sale and delivery of alcoholic beverages with the purchase of food to help mitigate financial consequences of the pandemic-related pause on certain business operations. House Bill 2773 permanently allows Arizona businesses the opportunity to offer to-go cocktails beyond the pandemic.
