Friend, I've always fought for the truth I know:
A woman’s healthcare decisions should be made between her and her doctor, not the government. But that principle is in grave danger, as the Supreme Court prepares to hear a major challenge to Roe v. Wade.
I'm asking for your help to rally support for direct legislative action from Congress -- action that will codify Roe v. Wade and enshrine the right to choose as the law of the land.
We cannot count on the Supreme Court to uphold these rights. With a new 6-3 conservative majority, and the outrageous decision to hear a case over Mississippi's blatantly unconstitutional law, all bets are off. So we need to act fast.
I'm hoping to get 4,718 more signatures by tomorrow. Please add your name >>
Thank you,
Jennifer

Friend, the right to choose is facing its greatest threat in a generation.
The Supreme Court announced this week that it will take up a case over a Mississippi law that bans most abortions. This law has been struck down repeatedly by lower courts -- but after Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell stacked the Supreme Court with a 6-3 conservative majority, the possibility of Roe v. Wade being significantly chipped away at (or even overturned) is very real.
We cannot sit by and leave the future of a woman's right to make her own healthcare decisions in the hands of right-wing judges like Brett Kavanaugh, Samuel Alito, or Clarence Thomas.
Congress has the power to act and federally protect a woman's right to an abortion. In the face of multiple state laws that restrict abortion rights, and with the judicial future of Roe v. Wade never more uncertain, congressional action is needed today.
Will you join Jennifer at this critical moment? Add your name to her petition and call on Congress to officially codify Roe v. Wade so that it is the law of the land.
This is a moment to show that the American people believe in reproductive freedom. We must all take a stand -- because the other side has shown they'll pull out all the stops to eliminate the right to choose.
Thank you,
Team Wexton
