As a member of the House Ways & Means Committee, I’ll be heavily involved in the negotiations over President Biden’s infrastructure package over the coming months.

Right now, we are looking at investing $2 trillion to rebuild our infrastructure and recreate the economy by creating really good, high-paying jobs.

The plan aims to rebuild 20,000 miles of roads, repair some of the most economically important bridges in the country, eliminate toxic lead pipes from our water supplies, promote racial equality in the economy, and tackle climate change by shifting to cleaner energy sources.

I think this proposal makes a lot of sense, but some people argue we need to cut back in order to get more Republicans to vote for the bill.
