Less than 6 months ago, a sitting president incited a riot at the US Capitol.

Despite this unprecedented attack on our democracy, Republican leaders Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell came out against the bipartisan commission investigating the facts of the Capitol riot. Republican leadership's attempts to downplay, excuse, and dismiss the January 6 attack are troubling, and I'm not the only one who's had enough.

My friend, Representative Tim Ryan said it best on the House floor: "We need two political parties in this country that are both living in reality. And you ain't one of them!"

Tim is running for Ohio's open Senate seat to put an end to these games and get real results for the American people, but he needs our help.

This past week showed just how important the fight to hold the majority will be. Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell have both bent over backwards to rewrite history and pretend January 6 was a normal day, but we can't let that happen.

With a 50-50 Senate, Ohio will be a battleground for control of the majority, and Mitch McConnell and his special interest friends will spend millions to retake power.

In the Senate, Tim Ryan will fight to raise wages, make healthcare more affordable, and protect our democracy, but we need to make sure he has the resources he needs to win.
