Keep signage focused on Medicare for All and avoid personal attacks on Raja. You can promote the DSA on your sign, but try to have a Medicare for All message on there as well.
If the police stop by to check in on us, Elisa Devlin of Schaumburg Area Progressives will talk to them. Let's avoid yelling at them or engaging with them positively or negatively to ensure there's no trouble. If approached, politely refer them to Elisa. If you don't know Elisa, just ask someone else who appears to be helping run the event to find her.
We’ll be livestreaming the event on the WSILDSA Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. Please retweet and share the livestream to your friends and family. If you’re at the event, you’re more than welcome to stream the event to your social media accounts as well.
Despite recent CDC and IL rule changes regarding masks and social distancing, we're sticking with our mask message to make sure everyone is comfortable, especially if they're not quite vaccinated yet or if they have kids. If you need to pull the mask off and take a breather, no worries, just walk away from the event first as a courtesy.
Parking: There are about 1,000 parking spaces at Woodfield Mall that have been used for previous rallies without any trouble. Please avoid parking in any of the very small outlets, for instance, the Jared jewelry store right across the street. We don’t want to cause any issues with them. There is a free parking lot about a block away at the bus station as well for people who are nervous about parking in a private lot.
If you have any questions, please send us an email or message us in the Slack.
