I’m proud to be a Texan. But every day, Greg Abbott and Ted Cruz embarrass our state and undermine the rights of the people who live here.

This week, Greg Abbott signed a bill banning abortion after six weeks, before most pregnancies are even detected. He undermined the health care of millions of people, but claimed the bill was “pro-life.” Then hours later, he allowed the execution of Quintin Jones—the 51st person put to death under his watch.

At the same time, Republicans in the Senate are trying to block a commission to investigate the insurrection at our Capitol on January 6—an attack that was inspired by our senator, Ted Cruz.
