[AZ GOP]

John,

This evening, our Jewish brothers and sisters begin the holiest day of
the year - Yom Kippur. On this special Day of Atonement of prayer,
fasting, and repentance, we have the opportunity to reflect on our
lives over the past year, to reconcile past differences with others
and to commit ourselves to renew our lives for the coming year with
purpose, good works, and love for each other.

As the Jewish community gathers in synagogues around the world, let us
all, as Arizonans and Americans, consider what each of us might do to
strengthen our families, our communities, and our nation and help make
this world a better place.

On this holy Day of Atonement, of prayer and fasting, may we be
provided an opportunity to draw nearer to God through the practice of
teshuva in accordance with the words of Leviticus: "For on this day
shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins
shall ye be clean before the Lord."

On behalf of all Arizona Republicans, we send our best wishes for a
meaningful Yom Kippur and a Gmar Chatima Tova.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kelli Ward
