From a lack of paid leave after a child is born to the prohibitive cost of child care -- in America, too many families are struggling. We’re failing parents, caregivers, and families. That’s why Suzan has been leading the fight to expand the Child Tax Credit -- and we were proud to see that expansion included in President Biden’s American Rescue Plan Act last March. But families will need help long after the pandemic ends, John, and the expansion is only in place for a year. Suzan knows that kids don’t grow up in a year -- so we need to make this expansion permanent. We’re so glad that President Biden supports this plan, but we want to know if you’re with us, too. Add your name to our petition to say that you support a permanent expansion of the Child Tax Credit. No child should live in poverty in our country -- the most powerful country in the world. No parent should have to go hungry to make sure their child gets enough to eat. It’s in our power to dramatically reduce child poverty and support families with the expanded Child Tax Credit.
